My interest in this technology began in 2000 when I first heard of SCENAR from a friend who had received treatment very successfully. After looking into it, I attended a basic training course to find out more. I followed this with a second course with a completely different trainer, mainly to check consistency. The protocols taught for using the device were reassuringly identical, and I purchased my first device – a SCENAR. A few years later, and after taking some advanced courses, I upgraded this to an InterX, mainly because it was a more robust device, with additional electrodes giving it more flexibility.

A few years ago I purchased a PhysioKey which is a further development of the technology, with more user-friendly programming and better design.

I have developed a strong interest in Energy Medicine after having studied physiology and pharmacology and realised that conventional Western medicine, by being so reliant on medication for treatment, is hampering its ability to treat many conditions effectively.  In the specialisms I have worked in, namely rheumatology and psychiatry, prescribed drugs are notably lacking in efficacy, and in many cases may do more harm than good.

Complementary and alternative therapies have a great deal to offer, but are often ignored or ridiculed by conventionally trained doctors, who have never taken the trouble to educate themselves in them in any way.  The popularity of alternatives with the general public in itself is evidence of their perceived and experienced value and usefulness.  Treatments that are prescribed on an individual basis, for people who are treated holistically, are not usefully tested by randomised controlled trials (RCTs), and no other type of assessment is recognised by conventional scientists, who are taught that the RCT is the ‘gold standard’.
